 Winery & Gift Shop

Latah Creek, heralded by Wine Spectator Magazine as one of the top producers of Merlot in the State of Washington, offers guests the opportunity to visit one of the most picturesque small wineries in the area.  Tile walkways lead you through an arched entrance into a large courtyard suitable for picnics or just relaxing.  Inside you will find a one-of-a-kind gift shop and a room-wide tasting bar.  Latah Creek's award winning wines can be sampled at your leisure while you tour the adjoining winemaking facilities.  we cordially invite you to come and enjoy.

A force in the Washington Wine industry
When we came to Washington State in 1980, there were only 18 active wineries.  when Latah Creek opened two years later, that number had increased to 35.  Out 10th Anniversary saw 80 wineries and today, our 25th Anniversary year, there is unbelievably over 500.  Over the past 25 years, we have taken hundreds of awards in local,  national, and international competitions and have had numerous wines featured in The Wine Spectator's Annual Top 100 Selections as well as The Wine Enthusiast's Annual Top 100 Selections, often with an added note of "Best Buy".  We are proud that Latah Creek has been a part of the national awareness of the fine wines produced by Washington State vintners.

 Philosophy of Winemaking

At Latah Creek our stylistic aim is to create wines that taste like the grapes from which they came.  This is accomplished by using traditional winemaking principles and by the selection of exceptional fruit.

Subjecting the wines to the least amount of processing and handling possible enables these natural varietal flavors to remain intact from grape to bottle.

Our major goal is to produce wines with natural balance and complexity, providing a perfect compliment to food and absolute enjoyment by themselves.
